Build the Future of AI — from Southeast Asia
We hire ambitious engineers across the region and put them on real, frontier AI work for clients worldwide. Stay in Phnom Penh, Bangkok, or anywhere in GMT+7 — and ship systems that matter.
Apply NowThe AI revolution will not be outsourced — it will be built, including from here. Inference Loops exists to prove that world-class agentic AI can be designed and delivered from Southeast Asia. If you are early in your career or a seasoned engineer who wants to work on agent loops, harnesses, and production AI instead of yet another CRUD app, we want to meet you.
Roles We're Hiring
We hire for capability and curiosity over credentials. If you can build, we want to talk — whether you have a CS degree or taught yourself.
AI / Agent Engineers
Design and ship agentic systems: tool-using loops, retrieval pipelines, evaluation harnesses, and production LLM applications. Comfortable with Python or TypeScript and eager to go deep on how agents actually work.
Full-Stack Engineers
Build the products around the models — web apps, APIs, dashboards, and the infrastructure that puts AI in front of real users. Strong fundamentals, pragmatic about shipping.
Data & Platform Engineers
Own the data backbone: pipelines, training-data curation, vector stores, observability, and the MLOps that keep AI systems reliable in production.
Junior Engineers & Apprentices
Early in your journey? Our apprenticeship track pairs you with senior engineers on live client work. We invest in people who learn fast and care about the craft.
Who Thrives Here
- You build things — side projects, open source, or scrappy products that actually run.
- You are curious about how AI systems work under the hood, not just how to call an API.
- You write clearly in English and communicate honestly when something is broken.
- You want responsibility early and feedback often.
- You are based in or willing to work from a Southeast Asian timezone (GMT+7±2).
What You Get
We keep it simple and real — the things that actually matter when you're doing your best work.
Remote-first
Work from anywhere in the GMT+7±2 band — Phnom Penh, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, or your hometown. We optimize for overlap, not office hours.
Real client work, fast
No months of shadowing. You ship on live projects within your first weeks, with a senior engineer alongside you.
Learning budget
An annual budget for courses, books, conferences, and the AI tools you want to master. Growing your craft is part of the job.
Mentorship from day one
You're paired with experienced engineers who review your work, unblock you, and help you grow into judgment-heavy roles.
Competitive local pay
Global-standard rates calibrated to the region — among the strongest packages for engineering talent in Southeast Asia.
Frontier tooling
Build with the best agentic AI tools available — Claude Code, Cursor, and the harnesses we build — not a legacy stack.
How Hiring Works
Apply
Send us your CV, GitHub, or a project you're proud of. No cover letter required — show us what you've built.
Build Challenge
A short, paid, real-world task — usually building or debugging a small agent. We care how you think, not how you whiteboard.
Conversation
A relaxed call with the team about your work, how you learn, and what you want to grow into.
Offer & Onboarding
If it's a fit, you join a delivery team and start on real client work within your first weeks — with mentorship from day one.
Questions, Answered
Do I need a computer science degree?
No. We hire for capability and curiosity over credentials. If you can build, we want to talk — self-taught engineers are very welcome.
I'm a junior or still learning. Can I apply?
Yes. Our apprenticeship track is built for exactly this — early-career engineers paired with seniors on real, agent-augmented work.
Can I work fully remote?
Yes. We're remote-first within the GMT+7±2 timezone band, with Phnom Penh as our hub for those who want to be on-site.
What does the hiring process look like?
Apply, a short paid build challenge (usually a small agent task), a relaxed conversation, then offer and onboarding. We value how you think over how you whiteboard.
What stack and tools do you use?
Mostly Python and TypeScript, with frontier agentic tooling — Claude Code, Cursor, and the harnesses we build for clients.
Do you support relocation or visas?
Case by case. Many roles are fully remote; for those who want to be in Phnom Penh, we help with the logistics.
How to Apply
No long forms. Send us evidence that you can build, and we'll take it from there.
Email us with whatever shows your work best:
- A CV or LinkedIn — optional; a GitHub or project link is worth more
- Links to anything you've built: repos, side projects, deployed apps
- One or two lines on what you want to work on and why
